    @Sony18241 actually, thousands of people claiming to be mormon DO practice it. and they are doing what joseph smith and brigham young did. who has the better argument? it was a suggestion made in 1890 in order for utah to become a state, not a revelation. and if smith and young messed this up, what else will they reveal as a mess up?

    and the blacks were only allowed priesthood since 1978, after over a full decade following pressure since the civil rights act. mormons certainly take time!

    but mormonism isn’t christianity. no other christian denomination teaches that the garden of eden was in jackson county, missouri. nobody else teaches that the lamanites and nephites immigrated from the middle east to america in 600 BC. this is bullshit invented by joseph smith in the book of mormon.

    On the contrary. A Christian by defenition is a person who believes in Jesus Christ. The Bible says God is NOT a liar, it also says God’s doctrine never changes. If God’s doctrine never changes, why are we the only church with a prophet as in acient times when we supposedly do not believe in the Bible or have our own Bible? Just some food for thought. You will obviously deny all of this, and come up with some bogous explaination. So let’s agree to disagree before we get too heated about it.

It doesn’t make us any less Christian. I know that there are many who say, “mormons aren’t true Christians as long as they’ve got prophets and their own Bible”.

    @karlsmith00 actually, i didn’t deny poligamy, truth told, we no longer practice it. And yes, blacks were denied the priesthood for a time, but once agian that was also discontinued. However, Joseph Smith is only a convicted fraud to those who can’t believe with any speck of faith, like yourself for example. It’s obvious to me that you don’t even know what the true meaning of “faith” is. But that’s ok. Because i really don’t care what you believe.

    @Sony18241 what makes me laugh is when mormons deny that polygamy was ever part of your religion, that it even exists anymore, that your prophet wasn’t a convicted fraud, or that black men weren’t ever denied the priesthood.

    lots of people know what mormons believe, and it’s known people lie about it a lot too.

    @dthompson1313 are you serious? imagine 1 man with 4 wives. he’s got 4 woman to pick up and clean up after him, each one of them has kids, they each run their own deal basically.

    now imagine 1 woman with 4 husbands. that’s like having 4 extra kids! it’s an even bigger nightmare than 4 wives. she’s the only one having kids.

    i’m not defending polygamy, i think it’s bullshit. but the reverse will never happen, women aren’t greedy pigs that way and males are an extra burden.

    I love this show and will definitely miss it when its over. I dont claim to understand the workings of polygamy but I do find it a bit hypocrtical that a man can have tons of wives and the women cant have lots of husbands.

    It makes it seem as if the men are dictators who control the women….I can only speculate but, I think fair is fair if polygamy is going to be out there then both sexes should have equal rights in the partnership department. Just my thinking!!!
