   i think that the end was just what has been expected, polygamy its just not right so the writers thinking about this gave and end to it. if the series ended with bill alive and the family still practicing polygamy with a happy ending it would be treated like hbo is accepting its practice… the key words I love my wife i love my church… u never see the neighbor being punished…

   @RachTrinity I think the point was to show the women becoming strong and standing on their own. This show has always really been about the three wives and the strength they give each other and that their family gives them.

    disappointing ending.. very lazy to be sure.. to bad.. Bill should of been hurt yes.but allowed Barb to do her thing and the ladies theirs… did not have to kill him

    Although it is from an unusual standpoint this show demonstrates the power of hate and prejudice. Many can relate to the hardships and struggle the characters in this show go through based on religious (or any other kind of) prejudice.
    Very good show.

    Hey what happen to Teeny? I didn’t watch much of the 4th season and the parts of the 5th I watch she wasn’t there till now

    This was a strange way to end the series, killing the main character off. Strange, but I loved it.

    What hypocrisy on the part of the modern LDS Church. May be if they took section 132 out of the D In C. Maybe then they would have really rebuked Plural Marriage. Then again if they did . They couldn’t call them themselves the one TRUE CHURCH. . I would rather see people living the true teachings of mormanism. That I could respect.. Thank you writers and producers of Big Love. somebody who lives in Utah. USA

    Carl does make sense in a way…

    He’s watched Bill from across the street and he’s seen how Bill is doing everything incorrectly according to Mormon standards by practicing polygamy and is still very successful as a businessman and popular albeit controversial as a senator. He’s maintained three marriages and raised ten children (counting Cara Lynn)

    From Carl’s viewpoint, he’s doing everything right and yet he’s lost everything dear to him, especially Pam.
