Hoping to find that elusive big buck. Spent the night at the trail head in the car. Just not the place to leave your car unattended over night. Got up at 4:00am to start the trek to the peak picked out via Google Earth. While some disappointment was had, it was still a great trip running around in the mountains. Music – DanoSongs

For some reason in this video you sound and remind me of the lead character in the walking dead : P Anyways, great hike and some awesome scenery. Could you do a video on your winter overnight kit list ??
Where state are you in ?
Time in the outdoors is never time wasted, as you know. Way to stay positive even though you didn’t find exactly what you were looking for. Looked like a beautiful peak there.
@Cr0cket20 thanks champ. you DA main man
@ikonik69 Badlands.

what brand is your hat
I lived and hiked in the Rockies for four years. Was fortunate to have also grown up in the Adirondacks. The best of two different yet beautiful and majestic worlds…Dash Riprock
Nice vid Crocket20. Been watching your vids for a good while now. Hope to get a better camera and show more of my “day hikes”, soon. You seem to be like me, in trying to go out and hike and enjoy nature, yet still make time for your family and not neglect them. It’s tough I know. I also enjoy solo hiking, but like you enjoy company sometimes too. Theres nothing like being out in the woods on a trail exploring nature, and taking it all in at your own pace on your on terms. Once again good job.
@Cr0cket20 I hope that something big is a good thing =D
@Cr0cket20 That would be awesome. If I’m right and I think I know what you mean though, it’s hard to find purely instrumental blues around. If you ever find some, and you remember, I’d love to know what and where to get it.
@MinatsukiSan Because I enjoy the process. I think of it as if I’m hunting…just with my camera as my choice of weapon. In reality, it’s the whole process of being out there. The hike, the physical challenge, learning, seeing the wildlife, etc.
@markshmily I have a video planned for that in the future. There’s a bit to do with timing (something big is about to happen in my life ; ) and I think that vid would be good at that time.
@Smith28Adventure I am a big blues fan. Wish I could find more usable blues music for the vids.
What state do you do all this? Me being from Texas we just don’t have much public land for such activities.
You got the 2 hikes for the price of one on this trip. One being the pre dawn adventure & the second being up on a mountain watching the sun rise. You’re right in that at least you were able be still be out there : )
Thanks for sharing all the shot in the second half were truly AMAZING!
Looks like fun…I was just looking at a spotting scope at Bass Pro the other day. Great way to go if you are already hauling in a tripod!!
Don’t take this the wrong way, but why are you spotting them? Are you documenting the patterns they move in or something for hunting?
Great video dude!
Sadly I haven’t hiked in a few months and I’m itching to get out as soon as can. Your vids always remind me of the good stuff I am missing when I am sitting home.
Thanks for sharing! =D
Sucks about the trailhead not being safe for cars.
By the way.. since I am slowly putting one together too.. what’s in your car bag?
Video suggestion. >_o
Crocket I’m with Snowy, if you guys don’t mind I would love to be the third wheel…..
beautiful mountains – great view, thanks again for showing us your morning.
That looks like a great hike and beautiful scenery.
Great vid as usual Crocket, some stunning scenery. Cool music too, getting some rhythm and blues in there!
around 6:00, totally agree. lol, if my day was ever dependent on gettin the big buck to enjoy myself, I’d be in trouble
@SnowLobo95 We’ll make it happen one way or another.
