    @Stm11111 Yea, Texas never played a part, rap artist just felt like rapping about the same subjects that happen in Texas and remixing their songs into chopped and screwed versions. Get real bro. You obviously have something against Texas. You refuse to acknowledge it’s achievements and repeatedly try to insult it. Until you stop being biased I don’t know how you expect me to take you seriously.

  18. Stm11111 says:

    @assyfartknocker
    Haha oh please. Texas never played a part. Just look at the artists that come out for TX. They decrease the quality of rap and just play victims to hip hop stereotypes.

  19. assyfartknocker says:

    @Stm11111 (continuted) and you’ll see he was clearly mostly solo up until that happened. And seeing as how Texas rap heavily influenced the whole rap game, saying Texas can’t rap is truly hilarious.

  20. assyfartknocker says:

    @Stm11111 That is exactly why I said 85-90% solo, he just recently started reaching out to people like Wiz, Wayne, and Ross on his newer songs, and as a said before, he was banned from radio, if he didn’t branch out and advertise himself he would become irrelevant, as would others in that situation. Radio is a huge promo tool for the music industry, it provides free advertising and lots of it, this is why this route he is taking is a smart move. Look at his other albums and mixtapes…

  21. Stm11111 says:

    @manolo19991
    This is why rap is garbage now. I’m sorry but Paul Wall and Slim Thug are horrendous. I get the whole texas movement and stuff, but compared to the east coast, the lyrics are laughable.

  22. Stm11111 says:

    @assyfartknocker
    85%-90% solo? Have you listened to street king. 2/18 songs are solo…the rest have big name artists. Released JUST in July. Trae has been in the game since 98. He ain’t getting any recognition because he’s garbage. I get you’re a fan but I’m just going with how it is. His lyrics are average and most people skip over his verses for Wiz’s,Waynes, Ross. That’s not branching out. That’s depending on others to sell records for you. Texas niggas can’t rap.

  23. assyfartknocker says:

    @Stm11111 If you want your name to branch out in the music industry you have to get on songs with people who are “hot” at the moment, which is why Trae is doing a song with Wiz, one of the hottest in the game right now, as well as Ross and Lil Wayne. Actually, about 85%-90% of his songs are solo, as he prefers, but seeing as he is banned from houston radio, he began to branch out, a smart move. Try listening to more of his material before you group him with the rest.

  24. manolo19991 says:

    @Stm11111 Yea you obviously don’t listen to Trae, he definitely doesn’t “ride on the beats”. This song was obviously for the mainstream audience which is why he switched up his style. Don’t be quick to judge artists from just a few songs. it seems like you’ve only listened to his mainstream music since you mentioned Ross and Wiz. Go listen to “Can’t Ban the Truth” mixtape, or similar music. BTW Slim and Paul go hard too. Not trying to beef with ya, i’m just spreading some knowledge.

    its disgusting
